End -of- line systems
Vortex Systems was founded in 1987. It operates in the packaging field, designs and produces single machines and plants featuring high technology/innovation and high capacity standards for the packaging of single products into open top, display cases and cartons.
Products are wrapped into flexible film and fed into the Vortex system by both horizontal or vertical wrapping machines.
Since always, Vortex Systems has relied on highly qualified engineering staff to develop its projects, particular attention is paid to a constant search for new technical and scientific solutions respecting safety, quality and environmental laws in force.
Vortex Systems is specialized in the ice-cream industry which now represents a third of its overall production. It is now leader in this field and serves 80% of the relevant European market. Over the last few years, it has extended its particularly innovative packaging solutions to other food sectors producing snacks, sweets, dairy products as well as cosmetics and others. (At present more than 50 projects are patent pending).

Vortex’s main range of products includes:
- Automatic systems for packing a wide range of products; solutions featuring high technology and quality that can be customized to meet the customer’s demand. At present more than 300 systems are installed throughout the world.
- Integrated loading and Pick and place units, capable of opening the case, filling it with product by means of robotic units known as “pick & place” and closing it in such a way that the entire process is carried out by a single machine.
- Automatic case erectors for the confectionary industry.
- Digitunnel: cooling tunnel for products, designed to simultaneously handle more products at the same time requiring different and dedicated storing methods.
